Chidimma Adetshina Wins Miss Universe Nigeria 2024

Chidimma Adetshina’s journey to the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 crown is a testament to resilience and determination. Born in Soweto, Adetshina’s path to success has been far from straightforward. Her bid for the Miss South Africa 2024 title was cut short due to allegations involving her parents and identity fraud, which led to her disqualification. Despite the setback, Adetshina embraced her Nigerian heritage and competed in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant, where she triumphed over 24 contestants to secure the crown.

The finale, held at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre in Victoria Island, marked a significant moment for Adetshina, who will now represent Nigeria on the global stage at the Miss Universe 2024 competition in Mexico. Her victory also comes with a substantial cash prize of over R100,000.

In her social media post, Adetshina expressed her profound gratitude, dedicating her win to God and highlighting her commitment to advocating for African unity and inclusion. She emphasized the importance of breaking down barriers and fostering a continent where every African can achieve their dreams and contribute to its growth. Her message of hope and unity reflects her dedication to using her platform for positive change.
